Travel Vaccinations
The Erskine practice offers travel advice and will provide where necessary a NHS prescription and administer the following vaccinations for free –
Important – we only offer appointments at least 6 weeks before date of travel. This is to ensure we have enough time to make a comprehensive assessment of your travel needs. It also allows sufficient time for any vaccines that are required to be effective
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis A+B (combination)
- Hepatitis A and Typhoid (combination)
- Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio
- Meningitis ACWY
- Typhoid
However, depending on the country of travel we might ask you to attend a private clinic. These clinics provide specialist assessment, advice and vaccination. Please see the list below of local private clinics available in our area.

3 Steps to Travel Vaccinations and Advice for Erskine practice Patients Step 1: Contact the practice at least 6 weeks before date of travel. You will be asked details of destination and date of travel. A telephone consultation will be arranged with a practice nurse. Step 2: If free vaccines are required (see list above), a prescription will be generated and the practice nurse will organise an appointment Step 3: Our practice nurse will administer vaccinations (as listed on prescription) at no cost to you. Certificates (if required) will cost £17.00 per patient |
Certificates: A charge of £17.00 (per patient) will apply if a certificate is required to prove you have received any of the above vaccines in the practice.
